McDonalds bringing back their 199 8 Szechuan Sauce because of Rick and Morty
Yesterday, McDonald’s decided to bring back their 1998
Szechuan Sauce and only made super limited amounts. They made it available to
Rick and Morty fans who found out about the “best sauce” to pair with their
McNugget’s on an April 1 episode of Rick and Morty.
Unfortunately, not all fans were able to get their
hands on this limited time offer sauce and they were not happy. Some fans were
already outside Wellington McDonalds who had lined up long before the fast-food
restaurant opened for the day and only to find out that the store carried 70
packets.
The police had to show up and force angry fans back
while fans were chanting “We want sauce” in front to the Wellington McDonald’s.
Common theme, I tried two in Delaware that @McDonalds website said had it, and they say they never got it. Seems like a bait and switch.— Kyle Grantham (@kylegrantham) October 7, 2017
Angry crowd chants "We want sauce" as police force them back. 1000+ people camped out to get #szechuansauce but McDonalds had 70 sauces... pic.twitter.com/wEaqC64Hln— Ian 👻💀👽 Sikes (@ianjsikes) October 7, 2017

But McDonald’s heard the angry fans loud and clear.
Today, they made an announcement on Twitter stating that the Szechuan sauce
will come back for the winter and it will not be for a limit amount of time and
on certain restaurants, but it will be available on all chains.
“You spoke. We’ve listened. Lots more #SzechuanSauce
and locations. Details soon. And that’s the wayyy the news goes!” a tweet from
McDonalds.
Till then, fans will have to white another while to
get the taste of McDonald’s Szechuan Sauce.
